Okay, So what is the Grain of the cloth supposed to be? I'm getting a friend that works in a fabrication shop work on the 120 degree arc pipes and then I'm going to cut them in certain spots so I can make this a "quick connect" mobile type item. Also, what is the difference in the HD141 and the 1090t? I was going for the 141 but if I have to spend a few hundred extra bucks to get this right I will. Does your software "trick" games into believing that the screen is 1 monitor? If so that would kill most fisheye. Fisheye is created on side monitors on purpose on some games. I have used a 21:9 center monitor and a 16:9 center monitor and they are both beautiful but no matter what side monitors I use they fisheye.

The only cloth I've used for screen material is Rose Brand Tendo and it's not 100% ideal. It's a bit diffuse and makes for a slight glow. It can be used for both rear and front projection. If it's used for front projection you have to make sure that behind the screen is totally blacked out from light or light will bleed in from behind.

By HD141 do you mean the Optoma HD141X? The lens throw is wrong for it's use. You need to look for projectors with lens throw between 0.49:1 and 0.82:1. HD141X would be a bad choice.

By 1090T do you mean the AMD CPU? It'll work for CPU. What GPU will you use?

The primary purpose of NTHUSIM is to warp the projection to fit the screen curvature and to blend the edges of the projections together. You still need AMD Eyefinity or Nvidia Surround to make the game see the screen as a single display. The fisheye is an issue of each game's individual method they use to render the camera. THe only games that can properly compensate are flight simulators using multiple camera views.

I meant GT1080, the 1080p short throw Optoma projector. My computer specs are as follows

i7 4770k over clocked to 4.4Ghz
2 295x2's 8gb in Crossfire (16gb total)

16gb (4x4) 2666Mhz Ram 11CL
1200w psupply

Everything is water cooled and it runs like a refrigerator.
I currently run 3 of those ASUS Gaming Monitors with 21:9 as a center monitor and 2 16:9s as the side ones. I hate the bezels and the fisheye. Figured 16:9 x2 as projectors would be the solution. No bezels, cool immersive effect, all that. I play every type of game so simulators and racing are just the beginning.

Definitely a lot of computer horsepower there. You'll have no problem pushing pixels.

Back in 2007 NTHUSIM was originally targeted at flight sims, but I've pushed it in a more global direction so it'll work with about anything. As long as the game works with AMD Eyefinity, it'll work with NTHUSIM. We've had a close relationship with AMD in the last few years. Even assisting them with a few of their convention booths.

Well the company next to my company does custom manufacturing so I was going to have them build 2 100" pipes at 120 degree arc and I was ordering the projectors and cloth tomorrow. I'll update as I go and I'll need some more advice soon. I appreciate it all so far.

Okay I went with Rose BrandoFront White Micro Perforated-180 Front Projection Screen. What did you use for the material that you attached to the wood what is the camera for that you have mounted there?

I've not used the micro perforated screen material before. Let me know how it works out.

Not sure what you mean by "What did you use for the material that you attached to the wood what is the camera for that you have mounted there?"

On the 2013 screen it's cheap PVC pipe, ply and some 1" plastic trim bent to the curve that I stapled the Rose Brand Tendo to. The frame is all cheap materials from Home Depot. It was a proof of concept to see if I could make a 10 foot diameter screen work. I still have that frame sitting in storage. I've gone back to my rolled tubing frame for 2015.

Okay, this was a lot of Math. Screen will be 96" in Diameter, the length of the Arc will be 100.5", the depth of the screen will be 32", the height of the screen will be 28.3". I'm making my Cuts tomorrow and should have it complete and pictures up on Saturday.

Messed that up, the length of the Arc will be 134.5." So it'll effectively be a 134.5# Screen

Are you 100% sure on the screen height? It sounds a bit short. Then again I'm used to doing full room size.

Either way, measure twice, cut once. ;)
