Hi Brad,

I switched over to Win 10 permantely and when I ran the Windows update it went from 1511 to 1601 and nThusim was not liking that update.. Looks like I need another activation..

I am unsure what happened as it was the same just updated the version tpo 1601?? Should we nthusim users not do any Win 10 upgrades because of this it seems a little extreme to me just to do an upgrade and nthusim stops working??

Hrrrm, donno. Thinking it's seeing it as a different OS. The person who programmed the detection method died in 2013, so not exactly sure what is causing it to change it's activation status based on hardware fingerprint. The version number changes with WIndows 10 are certainly a lot more aggressive than any other Windows in history. Making me wonder if the hardware fingerprint is looking at the version number as part of the equation.

Should be all set again for reactivation.

Yes it was weird but maybe like you said because it thought the OS changed?? It was just weird and was wondering if further updates of that kind are to be avoided??

Thank You Brad , ;)

The current plan is to ditch the license system Nthusim uses in preference to something actually functional for everyone involved -- both customers and admin. The manpower resources are at issue though. If I had to make a ballpark guess -- Nthusim 5.0 with interface updates and new license system before Q1 2018. I'm being deliberately long on my timeline though.

Well that would be great.. I am sure it will work hopefully better then current activation setup.. I was wondering would it be better to have a license key per user or was that tried before?? sort of like how Windows works?
