Correct, Windows 10 1709 is not compatible with Nthusim 4.1 dwm desktop warping. Microsoft changed the dwm desktop pipeline mechanics which will require changes in Nthusim before it'll work with Windows 10 1709. There are way to force Windows 10 not to update after installing Windows 10 1703. My suggestion would be to turn off updates for now if you're 1703 or older.
If you're stuck using Windows 10 1709, an alternate and a bit more clumsy method would be just to make sure dwm desktop is turned off in the Nthusim Tools menu and not use desktop warp correction. I'm not a fan of warp-less desktop though. Also if you're using P3D, it requires dwm desktop warp to fix the menu rendering. There is no ideal answer right now. Some answers are more ideal than others depending on your immediate situation though.
