I'm not interested in anything new unless it's 1080p native or better. 720p just seems so blocky to me anymore. My next purchase will be LED-laser based with DP if at all possible. Nvidia is really dropping the ball with 3D Vision Kit in recent years. We shouldn't have to trick hardware into working. It's very frustrating to me.

My Optoma GT1080 have a 3d Sync Out DIN port. I'm curious on how that might be used with 1080p.

Well I bought some new bulbs and they seemed to be the correct type for once.. I am hoping the lens will not burn out again, but if it does these may still not be the correct ones. I do believe they are tho as it was a Bulb manufacturing plant..

I did do a laser align again I could not believe how off the 2 projectors where..it is funny even thos it is aligned perfect it feels off I guess from it being off all that time and now it is corrected it seems off but it is not..

I think the laser align was a worthy investment.. here is the result: :geek:

Yep, I recently picked up a cross line laser leveler myself. It's expensive, but the warp grid being 100% uniform is worth it.

You properly setup your grid using as little control points as possible -- which is a good thing. Using too many control points is where many get into calibration troubles with a wavy grid. It's best to set the corners then do just an F2/F4 centerline. When you have to do more than that it points towards something flawed in the physical screen uniformity.

I'm pondering having my GT720's rebuilt. I want S3D capable again myself. It's frustrating how niche VR is making S3D at the moment.

Yes having it near perfect is awesome.. I am having to retrain the neck memory muscle hehe!!

Well I figured keep the control points down if possible for ease of alignment which as you can see worked well..

I would definitely get them rebuilt S3D Gaming is the only way.. I am trying to keep my system running as long as I can.. I love S3D Gaming it is the best experience in my book I don't like to game without the S3D anymore..

Off on a side subject about S3D. Did Nvidia ever fix the issue where 3D Vision didn't work in portrait mode? With Nvidia Surround now supporting up to 5 displays, portrait mode seems more appealing to me now. Maybe use something like an Optoma ZW212ST?

I do not know and I tried setting in portrait and it set to a very high resolution which messed up my desktop..

I did not get to test perhaps I can ask over at GeForce Forums..
